The children’s area of the library has a boat on which small children are fond of running, stomping, and gleefully playing make believe. Recently, we put in carpeting where the wooden floor was–to help prevent small feet from sliding quite so much and to perhaps make it a little bit softer when they do fling themselves “on the deck.”
But at a first glance, would you call this carpeting?
It’s a very dense “carpet” with a rubber backing, and isn’t supposed to absorb spills. We have not yet tested this but no doubt will have opportunity to do so. Not sure I’d put it through the home but certainly a consideration for a basement.
